We all have conflicts to handle and “wars" to fight. Interbellum shows German sound designer Florian von Ameln’s view of those conditions we face in times between conflicts through the lens of introspection. The feeling of relieve and happiness but at the same time knowing that the next struggle is coming your way. Field recordings reminding us of the echoes of this happiness are joined by ambient soundscapes and melodies with a touch of melancholy but also a sign of hope on the horizon.
